These Helly Hansen Boxer shorts will keep you sweat free and comfortable even after a long day on the hills in the heat of summer. Underwear is often neglected by mountaineers - by that, we don't mean they don't wear any but they just wear their usual boxers. What's the point in spending hundreds on breathable waterproof jackets and baselayers then spending the day with sweaty and/or cold bits!

General comments: Toasty as.... well toast. The ideal thing for active sports to avoid having to wring out your pants at the end of the day! While thinner products such as Patagonia's capaline briefs may be cooler in summer the Hellys are quite supportive of your "clock weights" and therefore great for mountain biking and rock climbing where balance is all important. I wear them while snowboarding and winter climbing under thermal leggings for a cosy system, well as cosy as you can be on a Highland hill in winter.
They are also quite hard wearing compared to every day civilain pants.
But perhaps most important of all they are quite hot little numbers and by that I don't mean the warmth, just ask my girlfriend hubba hubba. Comment on this review...
Pros: Very comfy, supportive and warm. Fast drying.
Bit like a security blanket for your bits
Cons: Perhaps a little too warm for summer.

General comments: Superb wicking fabric, means the bits stay dry. I use my Helly boxers for long runs, mountain marathons etc, to avoid chafing and moisture saturation that normally undies give you. These keep everything supported, even when it's really cold and there ain't much to support. Girlfriend loves them too!

I don't ever find them too warm, they are great in the summer too...
Really recommended, I've tried a few types of sporty underpants now but these get top (skid) marks...I'll get my coat
Pros: Fast wicking, close fitting, supportive, quick drying
Cons: Get a bit whiffy after a day of sweating in them, but unlike Helly Hansen fabrics of old, the smell does wash out!

General comments: Have used these for a few walks now (autumn and winter) and consider them to be excellent and well worth the cost. Feel very supportive without being restrictive, but most importantly maintain very good moisture wicking properties, as required.Comment on this review...
Pros: Good size range for all shapes, fairly low cost with excellent wicking properties. All boxer shorts should be made in this format.
Cons: The top seem stitching can be a little delicate and need snipping if frayed where your rucksack rubs your trousers on to the shorts..
