The Pacsafe 85 is an innovative product to ensure the security of your luggage while travelling. The metal netting makes sure nothing can be removed from your rucksack without you knowing about it. The Pacsafe 85 can also be locked to something solid to prevent anyone stealing your entire rucksack (e.g a chair fitment on a train). Shop | Price | Postage | Total |

Pacsafe Pacsafe 85 Reviews

General comments: I brought a pacsafe after having a rucksack stolen on a ski train a couple of years ago, and since then I have found it very useful. When out on the hill there is literally no-one who will steel your rucksack, but once in a town, on a bus or train then people will be looking out for that opportunity. The idea is not that great at actually protecting your bag, if someone wanted it, and you were not looking they could still steel you bag. Although heavy duty wire cutters would be needed! The main thing it is a massive deterrent. I have seen people look at me strange as I lock up my bag, but when carrying a full pack there can be a lot of expensive equipment inside. The price doesn’t include a padlock, which is not that expensive, and the pacsafe is not that heavy to carry. Making it a worthy investment for all you keen outdoor travellers out there. The key to securing your pack is to find a secure fitting to look it to. I once saw a rucksack locked to a plastic gutter Like that’s secure!
Pros: A good idea, although more of a deterrent than a failsafe
Cons: None really. a small one for day sacks would be good
