General comments: This is the biggest pack I own and I must admit I bought it for a steal many years off ebay. I am a sucker for the build quality of Macpac as they say they are build for the rigours of life in new Zealand. The pack stores 70L which I have found more than enough for weekend jaunts climbing in the Lakes. The back system is te Dynamic harness which is aimed at medium loads and deals with them very well. I have loaded this up with climbing and camping gear and the well paddd back system works a treat. The rucksack is a simple design , with 1 main dividable compartment which you can use to store sleeping bags etc, and a large front pocket . There are side compression straps and a wand pocket for storing pole etc, and a large extendable lid. Te stand out feature of this sack is the fabric, Aztec HC. This is a super hardwearing fabric that is totally weather proof. I have got this bag soaked, thrown it off crags and basically treated it unfairly and it still comes back for more. A great all round rucksack which will last you for ages.
Pros: great back system, great fabric no nonsense pack
Cons: maybe too small capacity for long journeys, red is a horrible colour and maybe too heavy for some.
