General comments: I have used this Wild Country device for the past four years and it has never let me down. Working in an outdoor activities centre, it's been used every single day and i've been happy with it's performance every time. The design of the Super 8 is old but the performance is perfect. "If it ain't broke, dont fix it"

Pros: This is very light, the rope runs smoothly through it. When belaying it locks nice and easily when needed. When abseiling it lets me control how fast or slow i wanted to go. Very simple design which doesn't need much improvement.

Cons: Such a simple design, you often forget how good it is!
