This gaiter has a waterproof three layer construction with Gore-Tex XCR fabric. The front opening Velcro flap has press stud fasteners and there is an adjustable Velcro webbing strap under the foot. The bottoms are elasticated and there is a one touch elasticated draw cord at the top for a snug fit.

Trekmates Sprint Light XCR Gaiter Reviews

General comments: I rarely wear gaiters but when I decided to do the three peaks I thought it would be best I took some with me as I didnít want wet feet for 12 hours so I bought a new pair as my old ones no longer fit. I ended up going for these from Trekmates as I felt they were at a reasonable price (I got mine in the sale) and my friend owns a pair of the Cairngorm ones from Trekmates and I was rather impressed with them. The reason I hardly used to wear gaiters was because my old ones were very fiddly to put on (all the fastenings were laces!) I donít find this a problem with these. They have a good solid stirrup going under the boot, full length zip at the front with a velcro storm flap and are elasticated at the top to ensure they donít fall down and as they are made from gore-tex they are very breathable. I now tend to find myself wearing these a lot more often and with a pair of good boots they keep you very dry.

Pros: Well worth the money, good materials, well made

Cons: Have not found any problems

General comments: DO NOT BUY THIS GAITER, i took 2 pairs of them back due to easy breakage. The plastic folow through for the ankle strap to go through snapped when i was tightening it. Also with my SECOND pair, the draw cord at the top snapped due to me just walking, i kept standing (walking) onto the cord.

Pros: Nothing good about them.

Cons: I put the gaiter on and where you tighten the strap at the bottom the plastic folowthrough SNAPPED the draw cord at the tp of the gaiter also snaped as you walk you stand on the draw cord and ankle straps are dangerous as they are too long so you can stand on them. Also it doesnt keep the water out of your expensive boots! It isnt tight enough to cover your whole boot and is completly unreliable if your doing ten tors!

General comments: My daughter has been training for the ten tors and the gaiter has fallan apart the inner lining has seperated round the elasticated boot strap, I am going to take them back to cotswolds to find out why this has happened. I had bought these gaiters thinking they would last a few ten tor years should they?

Pros: Look good

Cons: They fall apart
