Extremities Ice Gauntlet Reviews

General comments: These are main gloves I use in winter and am very happy with them. Having cold hands always makes the day feel worse so its worth spending money on gloves. The Ice Gautlet from Extremeties have a gore-tex lining but your hands will get damp from sweat in any gloves/mitts but even when they are damp my hands stay warm in these gloves. At 70 quid you dont want to drop them so I've fitted bungee wrist loops which are great if I need to rip them off to fiddle with a piece of gear. The palms have a good grip and I can still tie knots and fiddle with krabs with these on.
Pros: Nose/goggle wipe, padded knuckles good as you bash them on water ice. Reasonable dexterity.
Cons: Take ages to dry out but then so do all gloves.

General comments: Bought a pair of these years ago for snowboarding and they are just perfect for that use. I bought another pair for when I wear the first lot out (£9 ex-army s/h !) , in case you can't get them anymore !
I run an elastic to my elbow so I can take them off on lifts etc without worrying about dropping them
Pros: very comfortable. Very easy to put on and remove. Practically indestructible after 7 years of use !
Cons: hmmm, tricky to dry out because the inner doesn't pull out (but I prefer that, compared to trying to get inners in & out of fingers) and they are waterproof, so you need to cook them over night on a radiator really. not a criticism , just how it is with that design.
