General comments: Had the old style with red piping, used for army exercises in extreme cold weather, surface support of diving operations from portsmouth to scotland in winter!! also in austria and southern germany as an alternative to heavy and sweaty snowboard gloves. lasted four years of such abuse and have never left my side until the stitching finally went on the index finger. best glove i've purchased even for use in the wet (once wet the windstopper actually prevents your hands from become any colder), the grippy palm is especially useful for haulinng ropes etc and the anotomical fit is superb for complex tasks. will definitely purchase this product again. p.s. now used as a inner for my snowboard mitts until my new ones arrive.
