General comments: This is one of several ultra-lightweight axes that are designed for emergency use by ski-tourers, extreme alpinists and the like - the kind of thing you take just in case but don't intend to use much. They feel amazingly light - something like a third of the weight of a typical technical tool - worryingly flimsy, almost. This is about the lightest axe on the market, made entirely from aluminium. This means that they're not actually very good to use as an axe - they're not T- or even B-rated, so they won't necessarily take the kind of impact forces that using them as say a buried anchor for belaying would generate. The lack of weight also makes them difficult to drive into hard ice, so they're only really any good for occasional support or braking in an emergency. They're not too expensive compared to typical steel walking axes, until you realise that one day's heavy use might be enough to trash it permenantly. This is ideal to take on a week's expedition where you're not intending to use an axe but might need one in an emergency. However, for a general purpose axe, it's pretty rubbish.
Pros: Incredibly light. Good for "mine's smaller than yours" gear freaks.
Cons: Therefore, not very robust. For ultralight purists only - generally not suitable for use in Britain.
