Weighing less than a kilo, the Firewalker Ultralite is constructed from ripstop nylon for superior durability and reliability. The exclusive Polarloft insulation allows the sleeping bag to be far lighter and more compressible without affecting its performance. Mountain Equipment has packed the Firewalker Ultralite with essential features such as Shark?s toe foot box for added comfort and warmth, hanging loops for easy airing and storage and snag-free two way zip for enhanced ventilation. The result is a sleeping bag that performs way beyond its price tag and is ideal for first time campers looking for a sound investment. This sleeping bag is compatible with Mountain Equipment's new battery operated Hot Foot system, which attaches to your sleeping bag for comfort and warmth throughout the night.

Mountain Equipment Firewalker Ultralight Reviews

General comments: I have used this bag in various parts of the world. Obviously as an ulterlight bag this is not really usable much into spring or autum. However, I have found that it can be stretched to three season use if you are a warm sleeper and layer up for bed.
This bag weighs very little and packs down to a very small package with the stuff sack that it comes with. Unlike some ultralight bags, this is still a full sized bag, there is no reduction in size to shave off the grams.
Having a zip that can be opened from both ends is a really great feature. Its so simple that it is a wonder that more manufacturers don't do this. The small pack size means that this bag is perfect to go at the bottom of your daysack only to come out in an emergency. In an emergency, this bag could be combined with an emergency bivvy bag to make a survival shelter that would be sufficient in almost any area of the UK.
Pros: Small pack size and weight, especially for the price.
Cons: I have no complaints.

General comments: Good value lightweight synthetic sleeping bag for warmer climates, summer in the UK and indoor use. I used this for a fortnight travelling in Switzerland and Italy this summer and it was ideal. The bag compresses down well, fitting into a stuffed rucksack well..!
I found it to be warm enough for cooler nights in the mountains and ideal in the warmth of Italy. Although I did team it up with a silk liner for the coldest nights.
I plan to team it up with my Firewalker II for cold weather trips...
Pros: Lightweight, price, pack size
Cons: Nothing really, its a cheap thin lightweight sleeping bag and nothing more.
