General comments: Camelback are the market leaders in all things hydration, as you would expect from a company with many years experience in producing various models of hydration packs, Ventoux pack is aimed specifically at riders wanting that extra capacity. I tend to ride route, which now take up most of the day and as a result, needed a pack which would swallow up most of my gear for rides during the colder months (I have a lobo for the summer). The pack is very large although this can be deceiving as the internal space is somewhat smaller than you would imagine. This is due in part to the Exo-air back panel – the back panel is a great improvement on earlier models with great ventilation, but it increase the packs weight slightly and eat into the internal space (the newer models now have the Air Director Back panel which has addressed some of these problems). The shoulder straps have a mesh covering again to add ventilation. The 3 litre omega reservoir has is easy to access and hold enough for a days riding and the pack easily swallows up a days worth of additional clothes and tool kit and tubes etc. there is a neat extendable section for stuffing your wet weather gear or helmet in and all the straps have cool little tabs which keep them out of your eyes and more importantly, you bikes moving parts.
Pros: good for a days riding, lots of room and good back system. Good touches like strap ties and extendable pocket
Cons: newer models have better back sysyem than mine
