General comments: I bought the Asolo Veloce after a great review in The Great Outdoors (TGO) Magazine, regarding the longevity of a vibram soled Asolo shoe on one of the long American distance walks. My ears pricked up because my previous trail shoes which I wore for everything had failed me after just a few months, wearing through on the heel. The Veloces were the only Asolo shoes in my local store and I wasn’t keen on the look of the shoe as it looks like most kids trainers. However, I was convinced by the fit and they felt both supple and supportive on, with a great fit under the arches. There is much hype, in the magazines and adverts for this shoe, about the cushioning, but they are really no different to most quality trainers from Saucony or Asics etc… I have now had them about 2 months and they are wearing well, with no visible damage under the sole or to the very comfortable upper. They won’t get you into many nightclubs as they still look like trainers even when plastered in mud, but if comfort and longevity are your priorities then they are great.
Pros: Comfortable, very supportive and long lasting
Cons: they make you look like a ned...........where is my hoody?
