Teva Cross Terra Reviews

General comments: For a time if you wanted to be taken seriously in Sandals then you had to be wearing Teva’s. They have a brand image that fits into many sports, but basically they are popular because they do the job. I have owned a pair of the uber-classic Teva Cross Terra for over 3 years and they are hardly worn, despite seldom being off my feet through the summer. I find them comfortable, supportive and actually quite up to a bit of off-road strolling. Make sure you buy them slightly big as stubbed toes in these, or any other sandals, is very painful! Cross Terras are quite heavy compared to some other quality sandals such as Birkenstocks or Source. I think this is justified if you want longevity and good off-road support. One significant downside to Tevas is the smell after you have worn them a lot. They are supposed to resist odour, which they do for a while. I have heard people who advise putting them in the freezer to kill the bacteria, but this only seems to work for a while. I have had a pair of Birkenstocks for the same period and there is not a single whiff from them. However, you couldn’t go rafting or tackle off-road terrain in these leather sandals. For extreme…..read smell!
Pros: longlasting, supportive, good for off-road use and watersports
Cons: They stink
