The Arcteryx Alpha SV Jacket is designed for severe weather protection during mammoth climbs. The jacket has a drop back hem for rear coverage while allowing front-point visibility. Polyester-faced Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric and a Storm Hood seal out moisture and wind, while the harness HemLock keeps the jacket from lifting out of the harness while climbing.

General comments: I had wanted an Arcteryx jacket for ages and found the Alpha SV in a sale for....£185!
But this is the best Gore-tex jacket I have ever used/tried on. The fit is fantastic and gives you so much movement but at the same time gives you toal protection from the elements. The hood is amazing and moves so well your head. There are so many ways you can adjust the fit using easy to use toggles. The zips are waterproof and very good quality, never snagging. It is very light but gives the feel of total protection. The superb full length vents ensure that condensation is eliminated. The quality of build is far better than anything else and will last for decades. If you want the best than be prepared to pay the cash as the Arcteryx Alpha SV jacket is totally faultless and is perfect for a wet scottish winter! Or I hope you get lucky like me!
Pros: Perfect fit, very adjustable, superb quality such as taped seams and waterproof zippers. Excellent hood. Massive venting that does not skimp on protection.
Cons: The price...?
