General comments: I bought this Petzl harness for my other half so I could blood her into the world of climbing, but now I end up using the harness just as much as her. I personally think that the Corax is a tremendous harness and the beauty of it is that everything is adjustable. It uses Petzl's patented waist lock system so all you have to do is put it on and pull the straps, no doubling the straps over the buckle. This is a great system, although I'd have doubts about teaching novices using this system. I think it would still be important to instill the ethos of closing the buckle off. The Petzl Corax is lightweight and has 4 gear loops, ample for most climbing. Because it has adjustable leg loops it can be used for winter stuff being easy to don over a set of crampons for example.
Pros: Very lightweight and easily adjusted to fit most people. Ample gear loops and being fairly rigid it is easy to clip and unclip gear from them. Padded leg loops offer you some often much needed cushioning, especially if abseiling or taking falls. The harness is easy to pull on and off and because of the range of adjustment makes a great summer and winter harness. The build quality is really good too and would be guaranteed to last a fairly long time.
Cons: Corax may not be good for young beginners because I believe the basics of closing the buckle off need to be learned. So not ideal for outdoor centres. Apart from that, not much wrong at all.

General comments: I spent a great deal of time looking for a harness comfortable enough for frequent wall use (involving a lot of falling off and hanging around) and practical enough to comfortably accommodate a lead rack. I found both in the Petzl Corax.
There is plenty of padding around the waist and legs and the waistband widens at the back to give excellent back support and a secure fit for repeated lowering at a wall session.
I have found the rigid gear loops brilliant for easy access to racked gear - a lot more practical than flimsy cord versions, although the angle of them tends to lead to gear bunching up slightly.
After months of having "always double back over the buckle" drummed into me, I found the concept of the waist lock system a little strange at first but it makes perfect sense- easily adjustable and fairly idiot-proof!
All in all I would recommend this harness to anyone wanting a long- lasting, high quality, harness for all year round use.
Pros: High quality
Easily adjustable - the same harness can be worn over winter getup and indoor wall attire alike.
Very comfy.
Reasonably priced.
Cons: Although the size range of the Petzl Coraz caters for a variety of shapes and sizes, the wide back support can make the harness feel slightly bulky on a smaller person.
The gear loops are perhaps angled a little too sharply.

General comments: A very comfortable harness, with adjustable leg loops and waist, offering a great deal of adjustability. 4 gear loops, each hold 5kg, these have useful holes at each side which stop gear from wondering along the loop. This is especially useful for clipping chalk bags on whilst indoors. Although this harness isn't Petzl's top of the range, it has all but a one of the features the one above model does. In fact it is virtually identical apart from one thing; the waist is one piece, which is very comfortable for extended periods of time. The one difference on the upper model is a split waist at the back. This is however no great loss as I can't tell the difference between mine and my buddy's (who has the higher model). Both the leg loops and waist have excellent buckles which require only one pull to tighten and lock them as they are self locking. This allows very quick and simple adjustment for an exact fit every time you put the harness on. The waist band also has 4 clips for excess tape, this is much easier to secure excess tape than other harnesses, which tend to use elastic. The drop seat is a very simple design, which will last the whole life of the harness as it is a single metal hook.
Pros: - Easy adjustment through self locking buckles. Subtle colour scheme. Plenty of sturdy gear loops, with the addition of the holes for extra security. Comfortable padding.
Cons: There aren't any really. Except the sizing is a bit dodgy, ie. it is a lot on the big size, I have a 32" waist and I have it almost as small as it goes in the size 1 (smallest size).

General comments: The solid feeling of this Petzl Corax harness gives you confidence in pushing your climbing to the limit with the knowledge it isn't going to hurt if you fall, well at least not caused by the harness anyway! Have used this indoors, outdoors (rock and winter).
Pros: Adjustable to a range of sizes (I have a 26" waist). Like sitting in an armchair.
Cons: Yet to come across any.
