The Leki Tour is a sturdy aluminium Walking Pole made from 3 sections. Leki have attempted to limit the possibility of blisters by using a softer grip than usual - this also decreases the impact on your hands/arms. The Leki Tour walking pole weighs just over half a kilo and can be extended right up to 1.5m (e.g. more than suitable for taller walkers). There are currently no prices for this product. Leki Tour Walking Pole Reviews
Reviewed by William Morrison (Whitley Bay) on 2009-08-29:
General comments: Recently got my first walking stick, sorry I mean pole as a present from my wife. I wasn’t too keen initially, as, to be honest couldn’t really see the point in them. Anyway, I have just returned from a short walking holiday in Eskdale, including climbing Scarfell Pike and can honestly say, “I have been converted.”
I went up via The Cam Spout waterfall and would not have made it without the pole. Similarly, on the descent, via Little Narrowcove, the pole proved invaluable.
Even routing walking is made slightly easier with the pole and climbing is certainly easier. A couple of folk suggested two poles are better than one … will just have to wait to see what Santa brings.
Pros: A good reliable pole, from a well known brand. Sturdier than others and not much more expensive. For the price, hard to beat
Cons: No anti-shock, but having read a few comments on the internet, this isn’t really too much of a problem. Would have liked a cork handle, but you can't have everything at this bargain price
