This is a high quality down bag from The North Face. The fill is rated to 850 and there's approximately 600 grams of it making it possible to survive temperatures down to -32 degrees (the comfort rating is a respectable -13). The total weight of the North Face Hightail is in the region of 900 grams - light by any standard. This sleeping bag is suitable for 4 season use in the UK or for summer alpine ascents. The Hightail also features a 1/3 length zip, snug hood and comfortable footbox.
The North Face Hightail Sleeping Bag Reviews

General comments: This sleeping bag is the business for high altitude or when camping in extreme cold conditions. Its 850 down fill is very warm and the rib system keeps it even throughout the bag. The hood of the bag has a good adjustment system so on those cold nights you can snuggle down and keep the cold out. The foot zip is great in the morning. It can get a bit hot at times so its glorious when the zip is opened and the air can get in.
Pros: The best bit is the warmth of this bag, what it is designed for. The foot zip is great in the morning as it’s a good bit of ventilation when you’re over heating. I suppose if you’re a 'cool camper' the colour system is good.
Cons: There are only two bad points about this bag. One being the side zip. I might be wrong but I think it only comes in at a half zip. This means when camping in warmer climates it can get stuffy even when the foot zip is open. The second problem is the internal material. It can get very sticky and in the way at times. It is best used with a sleeping bag liner.
