The 3mm roughout leather upper provides great protection from snow and rock when climbing or mountaineering. This boot is still made in La Sportiva's factory in the Dolomites-the perfect area for product testing year round.    La Sportiva Nepal Extreme Reviews

General comments: If you look around at what everyone is wearing when you're out winter climbing you'll notice that pretty much everyone is wearing nice yellow La Sportiva Nepal boots. The obvious reason for this is because they are quality boots. The Extremes are supposed to be warmer than the Evo thanks to thicker insulation, this does make them a touch bigger and less precise, but hey, there's little worse than standing on belay with cold feet. The adjustable tongue padding is awkward to get in the correct place at first but once it's there you just have to remember where it is and all is well.

Pros: Tough, warm and comfortable

Cons: a bit big and clumpy and the standard insoles are a bit rubbish
