The Synchro is a fully adjustable harness suitable for a variety of climbing styles. The Syncro utilises Wild COuntry's Ziplock buckles for instant adjustment. The batwing design waist belt adds comfort and support and there are nine gear loops for those big wall ascents. General comments: The Syncro is not a skimpy light weight sport climbing harness! Wild Country's British roots show through with this harness, its designed for carrying lots of gear, on long pitches and long routes. My version from a couple of years ago has five racks, later version had seven. And they aren't small racks in comparison to the molded BD and Petzl racks. I tend to rack about six krabs' worth of gear on each. The back rack - unlike on many other harnesses - is not an after thought: it is the same size as the others, meaning you can easily get your belay device and krab on it, your nut key and a krab with prussiks/knife/shunt etc. as well, and still be able to reach back and identify them without looking - not easy on a cramped little rack. The double buckles mean that the tie loop is always centralised and the racks always in the right place - equalised on both sides. This obviously makes this a good harness for all round climbers who will use it over lots layers for winter routes and over T-shirt in the summer.
Pros: Great racking capacity for trad climbing. Double buckle allows the harness to work well both summer and winter.
Cons: Weight. Not something to lug for two hours uphill on the off chance you might want it on a scramble. Not cheap as either due to all the features.
