The Air Revolution 9 boot is a fully crampon compatible boot, with waterproof protection and Meindl's excellent Air Revolution technology to help the boots 'breath', thus keeping your feet comfortable.Thanks to its stiff sole and supportive uppers it's ideal for trackless areas, glaciers and extreme ice and ice climbing purposes.Its stiff midsole and support make it the ideal boot for poor mountain paths, scree or fixed rope routes, whilst the MFS (Memory Foam System) and Gore-Tex lining provide a personalised fit and waterproof protection.  Air Revolution TechnologyRibbing on the upper gives stability and protects the foot, using this method of construction one achieves the maximum air porosity with the required stiffness. The removable “open” tongue works like a pump in the footwear. Air circulates in the footwear as a result of the walking action. The tongue is fixed at the forefoot and top with velcro.The entire tongue is a combination of 3-D mesh and a permanently absorbent, reticulating, perforated sponge. This enables the pumping action.
