General comments: Good wind protection and comfortable to wear for extended time. Tested twice already in extreme, prolonged downpours - once in Cwm Idwal in Wales and more recently on a mountain in the Austrian Tirol - both times superb performance with no water coming in at all!
Pros: It's great to have a jacket that's 100% waterproof and reliable.

General comments: Not suited for hiking/climbing in rough terrains and off beaten tracks in the Scottish Highlands for example. Material gets snagged easily and there are notches, rips and tears in my otherwise great-fitting lightweight jacket
Cons: The zip is quite awkward (bad when the downpour starts!)

General comments: On to my second Glissade now which shows how much I think of this jacket! Lightweight but watertight in our lovely climate - rain rolls straight off and it dries very quickly. In colder weather zip in a fleece and it becomes the ultimate winter jacket - warm, dry and windproof. Great value for money - can't recommend enough.

General comments: As I work in an outdoor persuits centre, good kit is important to me. I have had a slightly older version of the one pictured here for years, and its never let me down. Its a little worn in places but its so light and versatile you can really wear it everywhere. I have really worn it hard, had a couple of falls in it and it has outperformed more expensive jackets that I have owned. Great with a couple of layers underneath as although it is windproof and waterproof its doesnt do well at keeping you warm. Very breathable, I could wear this all year round. Pockets are good and well placed. Would be niced if it stowed down really small, but its a little bulky when folded.
Pros: Hard wearing, does well in all weathers, plenty internal room for base layers.
Cons: Cold if youve not got kit on underneath, could stow down better.
