The NEW Tech Bit: Air Spring Accumulator The newly designed ceramic cartridge traps an air bubble in the filter housing. The bubble is compressed on the handle down stroke storing some of the pump force. On the handle up stroke the bubble expands pushing water through the cartridge. This Air Spring effect maintains a constant pressure in the cartridge pushing more water through in less time.
