The Vision will satisfy any climber who thinks outside of the box. The shoe embodies Scarpa's 'Rock Comfort' ideals and is both multi-purpose & technical. Suitable for both intense bouldering problems as well as long multi-pitch trad routes thanks to it's high performance and sensitivity A Lorica cradle holds the foot and will not stretch or lose shape, whilst the internal lacing system allows the fit to be fine tuned. The Vibram Megabyte rubber extends over the heel to allow for easier heel-hooking both outdoor and indoor Average weight: 410g | Site | Price | Postage | Total |

General comments: I'm not a fantastic climber by any stretch, but i love these shoes, so much so that i am on my second pair. I mainly use them for indoor use, and the occassional outdoor adventure. I tend to find that they are a little narrow for my feet but manageable, and i can wear them for a few hours without it hurting. When buying Scarpa Visions my advice would be to get half a size to small as they tend to stretch just a little. Also be prepared for red feet as the lining of them colours your feet!!!
In terms of climbing, the rubber is really grippy, when new they have really good edges, they dont have the most rigid rubber to them so edging can be a little more tricky than some shoes i have used, but they are great for smearing!
I find that these Scarpa are pretty good all round. The rubber does tend to wear quite quickly but i suppose its just the abuse they receive indoors. Overall they have definatley improved my climbing!! So much that i will be buying my third pair soon!!
Pros: Relatively Comfortable
Great at smearing. Good allrounder.
Good for edging. Snug fit even in the heel area.
Cons: Nothing that will stop me buying another pair!

General comments: Having owned a pair of Scarpa Helix rock shoes and used these up to grade E1 climbs, I was looking for an upgrade for these boots and was attracted to the Scarpa Visions due to the extra toe down support and feel. In addition they are superbly comfortable for such a technical shoe. The rubber seems to be more sticky than the Helix boots I had before, with the obvious trade off that they do not appear to be lasting as long. They have a semi-attached tongue which is heavily padded for good comfort and I have been able to keep these on for prolonged sessions at the wall and crag. The leather seems to be great quality, yet leaks red dye all over my feet if you wear them when it is hot or for long sessions at the wall. This novel look wears off in the shower after a couple of days! They focus much of the power under your toe which is where you need it for higher grade climbs and they still retain good edging abilities. Unlike the helix shoes which stayed more or less the same size throughout their life the Visions have stretched a fair bit and I would recommend getting them very tight to start off with as they do slacken off.
Pros: quality, stickt rubber, great toe down power
Cons: red dye leaks, they soften off quite quickly

General comments: My Visions are my fourth pair of Scarpa rock shoes since the Rock Masters in 1988 and the brand continues to produce excellent products in an ever expanding market place. I have used the Visions sparingly on indoor walls during the winter and find them very sensitive and precise on both tiny bolt-on’s and smearing on textured surfaces. As my current best boots, they are always in the top of my ruck sack for our frequent week end visits to the excellent sport climbing destination of Portland on the South coast. Performance is excellent even though I have abandoned the age old fitting ethic of “pain is good” in favour of a normal shoe size. I can climb and belay all morning without suffering the agony of tight fitting boots. The full length lacing provides a supportive fit and the inner is very comfortable without socks. The soles and rand appear to be wearing well and I expect them to last well into the summer season. They are supportive when both edging or pointing in pockets and are certainly confidence inspiring when smearing in haste while struggling through the crux. Although the Scapa Visions may appear expensive, they are a very well made and durable rock shoe which will stand up to hard use on many rock surfaces before being re-soled and relegated to the climbing wall.
Pros: All day comfort. Durable upper & sole.
Cons: Slightly expensive.
