The Mountain Equipment Sleepwalker I is a highly specified and good value synthetic sleeping bag. The bag allows movement during the night due to the stetchy material used and also comes with it's own stuff sack to help you coax it into the bottom of your rucksack. The ME Sleepwalker I weighs approximately 1.3kg and can be used in temperatures down to 0 - 5 degrees (the extreme rating is -10). | Site | Price | Postage | Total |

Mountain Equipment Sleepwalker I Reviews

General comments: I wanted a lightweight bag for a summer trip to Corsica and the Mountain Equipment Sleepwalker I fitted the bill perfectly. It doesn't weight that much and packs small for a synthetic bag. The fit is quite fitted, which is good as it saves on weight, but having the elasicated middle (TDS) is not just a gimmick it does make a difference, as now I sit cross legged in my sleeping bag as I make breakfast! In terms of warmth its not bad (just used it for camping on the side of the Ben at about -2) I would agree with what ME state. I've used it to zip together with other ME bags and that worked fine. I've washed it a couple of times and its come out fine (albeit the water repellency has gone now). The fabric feels fine next to the skin. Overall I would buy the bag again.
Pros: The zip baffle works well. One handed drawcords throughout. Elasticated shoulder baffle is more comfortable. Fitted cowl hood works a treat at keeping out draughts (have used it bivvying). Comes with a compression stuffsack. Very reasonable price from a top manafacturer.
Cons: It's not down (so the age old debate)

General comments: High quality sleeping bag! Very warm and cosy. Used the Mountain Equipment sleepwalker I for the first time last weekend during the bank holiday. We went to the Lake District and at night the temperature dropped to around 5 degrees + it was Very windy; therefore I presume the temperature must have been less than 5 degrees at night – the comfort temperature stated by ME seemed to be reasonably accurate. A short-sleeved t-shirt and the sleeping bag were all that were required to keep me warm. (I had a fleece next to me just in case…. but didn’t use it at all) The hood and neck adjustment features were very useful to trap warmth; also due to the "hugging" feature of the sleeping bag, there were space for cold air to get in the sleeping bag. The elasticized middle bit really helps those who move a lot during their sleep (i.e ME); I could sit up very comfortably inside the bag. Over the 3 days use, the zips have never been caught with the sleeping bag fabric. Also the independent foot zip was very useful as I could let it open without letting much cold air into the bag. I haven’t washed the bag yet, so cannot comment on this aspect.
Managed to get it for just under £50, a very good investment I would say.
Pros: Great shape, very warm...
Cons: Not found any fault with the ME Sleepwalker 1 yet....
